(Undated) -- The Illinois Fire Marshall is recommending leaving fireworks to the professionals this 4th of July. Most fireworks are illegal in Illinois says fire Marshall Larry Matkaitis. That doesn't stop people from crossing state lines and bringing them back to Fulton County or other parts of Illinois. He says the problem is, people don't use them correctly, or have a defective firecracker. Legal products, like sparklers are dangerous as well, since they reach temperatures of up to 1200 degrees.
