(Chicago, IL) -- One lawmaker's parents are recovering after being struck by a hit and run driver. A spokesman for Tom Cross says Thomas and Ruth Cross were riding in a cab on Clark Street in Chicago when someone hit them head on yesterday. The two had just finished marching with their son in the Pride parade and were headed back to their car. The crash left Mrs. Cross with severe gashes on her head and she had to have staples put in. The accident happened just days after the Senate GOP leader buried her daughter due to complications from a hit and run accident.
