Rauner Unveils Plan To Save A-Billion-Bucks

June 26, 2014

(Chicago, IL)  --  Bruce Rauner is still rolling out his plan on how he'll run state government and shake up Springfield if he's elected governor.  He unveiled his corporate welfare reform plan yesterday, which aims to save the state just over a-billion-dollars.  Part of the plan is to restructure the corporate tax system and close loopholes that give special handouts to only a select group of businesses.  It'll also cut tax breaks for people who own or breed horses and race them on state tracks, make spouses pay taxes if they inherit a jet or a yacht, and put an end to a newspaper tax exemption which allows the publishers to save on things like printing and ink.
