Panel Subpoenas Seven To Testify On NRI Program

(Chicago, IL) -- The woman who oversaw Governor Pat Quinn's failed NRI program is being called on to give details about what she knew. A legislative panel approved a subpoena for Barb Shaw and six other Quinn insiders yesterday. Shaw was invited to testify at a hearing last month but she didn't show up. The subpoena requires her to appear at a hearing next month to give information about how money from the anti-violence program was distributed and how involved Governor Quinn was in determining which agencies received funds.
