Jurors: Convicting Smith Wasn't Easy

(Chicago, IL) -- The jurors who made the decision to convict State Representative Derrick Smith say it wasn't an easy task. They say the feds used sleazy tactics to catch Smith up in a bribery scheme back in 2012, where he pocketed seven-thousand-bucks in exchange for helping a daycare get a state grant. One juror tells the "Chicago Tribune" that they questioned the FBI's informant, who repeatedly pushed Smith into taking the bribe. They also didn't like the idea that the feds pretty much made the whole scenario up, just to see if Smith would bite. He did and now he's looking at prison time.
