(Undated) -- The unemployment rate for Fulton County is down for April of 2014 compared to a year ago. Officials with the Illinois Department of Employment Security reports that during the month of April of this year, unemployment in Fulton County was at 8.5-percent. That’s down from 10-percent that was reported in April of 2013. In Mason County, its down as well for April of this year, reported at 8.4-percent compared to 10-percent in April of last year. In Knox and Warren Counties, IDES also reports a lower unemployment rate. In April of this year, Knox County reported a rate of 6.5-percent compared to 8.3 percent last year. In Warren County, unemployment for April of this year is being reported at 5.9-percent, compared to 6.4-percengt in April of 2013.
