Twelve Hundred Without Power Overnight In Canton

(Canton, IL) -- Twelve hundred customers of Ameren Illinois were without power early Friday morning because of an equipment malfunction. Marcelin Love of Ameren Illinois says that the first report of an outage in Canton happened at about 12:45 this morning. Crews found a fuse was blown in a transformer in a substation located south of Canton. Love says that power was restored to the last customers without power at 3:15 this morning.
