Kids One Step Closure To Using Medical Marijuana

May 23, 2014

(Undated)  --  Children in Illinois who suffer from epilepsy could soon be allowed to use medical marijuana, including kids.  Representative Lou Lang says it can help to ease symptoms associated with seizures.  Kids will be allowed to use the CBD oil, which is derived from marijuana and can drastically cut down on the number of seizures a person has each day.  CBD oil is diluted in olive oil and contains very little T-H-C so children won't get high when they use it.  Both chambers approved the measure and now it heads to the governor for approval.
