Students Will Be Required To Get CPR Training
(Springfield, IL) -- High school kids in Fulton County as well as the rest of Illinois will soon be getting more specialized training on how to save someone's life. Senator John Mulroe is backing a bill that will require that students learn how to perform CPR and how to use a defibrillator before they graduate. Parents would have the right to opt their children out of the training if they don't think they need it. The bill is headed to Governor Pat Quinn's desk. He plans on signing it.
