Peoria School District 150 Hires CLO

(Peoria, IL) -- Peoria's School District 150 now has a new chief legal officer. During Monday night's school board meeting, a contract was approved for Richard Rettberg. He will serve in the legal officer position. Rettberg will be paid nearly $215,000 in salary and benefits during the first year of the contract. The final two years he will be paid $209,000. The District will still be using the current board attorneys for outside general legal assistance but on a per need basis. District officials say that having an internal legal officer will help the district financially.
