(Peoria, IL) -- The 29th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Peoria took place. Thousands of residents from around the Peoria area took part in the annual event. Over 230,000 women were affected by invasive cases of breast cancer last year. Thats according to the American Cancer Society. About 40,000 of those cases resulted in death.
