(Peoria, IL) -- The City of Peoria is faced with more than two million dollars in unpaid parking tickets. Officials say the money would go a long way towards repairing streets, sidewalks and other infrastructure the city desperately needs. Peoria had a difficult time locating a car that had five tickets making it boot eligible. The city fired the collection agency that was in place because drivers with tickets ignored their calls. Peoria officials then hired a new collection agency a year ago and are seeing better results than the previous agency, which lacked aggressiveness.`
