The Annual Live Radio Auction will be held Saturday February 24th, beginning at 9am, on WBYS AM 1560 and 93.7 FM and on CD Country 107.9 FM.
Auction guidelines which will be followed throughout the day:
During the auction, bids will be taken live on air. Phone numbers to call to make your bids are
647-1561 or 647-1562.
Business merchandise will be described over the air with mention of retail price, then the opening bid. Additional bids will be in $5 increments or a higher amount will be accepted. When placing a bid, the announcer will ask which item you are bidding on, your bid amount and your phone number. Please give a phone number that you can immediately be reached on. Once our staff determines a particular item is close to a final bid, the item will be placed on a 5 minute timer. When that time is up, the final bid and listener’s number will be identified. Our staff will call the item winner on that number to confirm purchase. If we cannot reach you, the item will be returned to auction block.
Lightning rounds occur at 30 past the hour and are a chance for listeners to pick up quick one-time bargains on items. A group of items will be read with a specific discounted price only. The first callers at 647- 7540 will receive their desired item. The lightning round is conducted off the air but a contact number is still required.
Items can be paid for and picked up at our studios, 1000 East Linn Street in Canton, beginning on Monday 2/26, between the hours of 9am-5pm. Items need to be picked up by Friday 3/2 at 5pm. Payment may be made in the form of EXACT cash, a check, or credit/debit card.
